The first retractable line we bought was much cheaper, but broke twice. Granted, it was long and had lots on it, but that's it's purpose. So, we ordered the Tidy, but it hasn't been an improvement. It's well made and looks robust, but seems to have the same line and is more difficult to tighten than the cheaper version. We're using a prop now to ease the load and hope this one will last, despite it's faults.

I had had my clothes line for several years until the rewind mechanism failed. Repacing it was not easy as I needed 15 metres and the usual model for this length had very thin line. I must admit the only reason I could not give the Tidi line five stars was the thickness of the line, but it is better than most and does not stretch too much in use, The style is very smart and the rewind positive and rapid, I am very pleased to have replaced my line for such a reasonable price.
